Alcohol was involved (surprised?). We were discussing various RPG writing collectives, and Jan said, “We don't want to be famous or known as the best writers—we are more like `We go by Jeep'”. Exactly what this means, no-one knows, but all that were there agreed that was exactly how it was.
Deciding to go by that name was a given. In the end, what it signals to us, I guess, is a sense of not taking things too seriously. We shall try not to take ourselves too seriously or become pompous asses, which is an easy thing to do in the sub-culture setting. To everyone else, it is probably just a stupid name.
